Jarring contrasts work!
March 2023 – I walk out my backdoor and Im in a country lane in two minutes. I freely wander around our local farmers fields. I’m lapping up nature at his best. Occasionally I come across old fertiliser barrels, made from bright turquoise plastic. A necessary evil for the farmer looking after his crops.
Even this creates its own beauty. In spring a May bush sends out thorny branches full of delicate flowers and they grow across it. A dramatic contrast of nature and manmade, yet somehow it works!
I love it when the farmer grabs a bit of bright pink or orange plastic rope and ties his gate shut….
another partnership is born.
